Thomas is an associate in the Firm’s Litigation Department where he engages in complex commercial litigation in both state and federal court. Thomas also represents broker-dealers and registered representatives in arbitrations before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Thomas’ practice includes regulatory work involving the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA and other regulatory bodies.
Thomas always strives to provide his clients with effective and efficient representation, as evidenced by the consistent results he achieves. His achievements include winning several dispositive motions in state and federal courts, an appeal before the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, and obtaining favorable FINRA awards. Mindful of the importance of cost-effective litigation, Thomas also has mediated or otherwise settled numerous matters, achieving favorable resolutions for his clients.
Thomas lives in Westchester County with his wife and son, where he is a member of the Westchester County Bar Association.
Thomas has extensive litigation , defending and prosecuting a wide range of actions, ranging from general commercial matters to complex medical malpractice cases. Prior to joining SRFC, Thomas was first employed as an associate at one of the country’s leading insurance defense firms, and subsequently, at a boutique litigation firm in Manhattan, where he had an eclectic litigation practice.
Thomas earned his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law. There, he was awarded Best Brief Author in Appellate Advocacy and served as Co-Chair to the Honor Council. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Connecticut College with a double major in Political Science and Music.
Thomas is admitted to practice in the State of New York and State of Connecticut, as well as in the federal court for the Southern District of New York.
