Press Release – New York, NY – March 30, 2016 – Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP is proud to announce that founding partner Michael Ference, Co-head of the firm’s litigation practice, was inducted into the hall of fame of his alma mater Bergen Catholic High School in Oradell, New Jersey during its annual hall of fame induction ceremony on March 20, 2016. Mr. Ference was honored for his achievements while a student at Bergen Catholic as well as for his personal and professional accomplishments thereafter.
The inscription on Mr. Ference’s plaque that will be permanently displayed in Hoehl Hall at Bergen Catholic reads:
Michael Ference, class of 1987, is a Bergen Catholic success story. Michael was a member of the first Crusader soccer team to win a County championship, a Parochial A North sectional championship and be named Bergen County Team of the Year. As a senior, Michael captained the soccer team and was named All-State, All-County, All-League and All-Suburban. Michael was a member of the 1986 County championship indoor track team and the 1987 Parochial A North sectional championship tennis team. He was also a member of the first Bergen Catholic Mock Trial team to win a County championship and reach the State finals. Michael played soccer and tennis at Carnegie Mellon University where he earned his BS and MBA and was named an Andrew Carnegie Scholar. A three-time captain of the men’s tennis team, in 1990, he won the Presidents Athletic Conference championships in singles and doubles. A graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, Michael is a founding partner of Sichenzia Ross Friedman Ference LLP, a Manhattan-based securities law firm with offices in Budapest and Tel Aviv. In 2006, Michael and his parents created the Ference Family Financial Aid Fund for endowed financial aid. By continuing to fund it each year, he helps future Crusaders experience a BC education. Michael resides in Demarest with his wife Noelle, and their three children Colin, Casey, and Nicole.
Mr. Ference is a nationally recognized expert in the Securities Litigation and Arbitration arenas. He has successfully represented clients in actions and investigations brought before governmental agencies and self-regulatory bodies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, various state agencies and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He has represented dozens of public, private and not-for-profit corporations, FINRA member firms, as well as hundreds of securities industry registered personnel. In his Corporate Finance practice, Mr. Ference represents public and private companies, underwriters and investment funds in a broad range of federal and state securities laws and investment and capital-raising transactions, including public offerings, PIPEs, private equity, debt and venture capital transactions.
